Crossthreadz is honored to have the following 2009-2012 Board Members: Paul Tape (Chairman) is a DJ, business owner, and devoted husband and father. He has DJ’d numerous times at the now-defunct , yet famous CBGBs (NYC) , The Viper Room (Johnny Depp co-founded in LA), Werewolves (London), and Club Dread (Poland). Paul, (aka DJ Andromeda) also served for 2 years as Resident DJ for "Masquerade" in the very popular Ybor City in Tampa, FL. Additionally, through mentoring and various outreach efforts, Paul's passion is to provide young men with the tools they need to make better life decisions. Gloria Neff (Treasurer) has been involved in the media industry in various capacities for major-market or national broadcast: air-talent, sales, production. She has appeared on MSNBC’s Hardball, MTV, & CNN. Neff served as Campaign Manager of the media non-profit "The Salt" and as the Launch Director for Mission Media. In an effort to reduce the serious travel demands placed on her by the media profession, she redirected her efforts to her local community and is now a realtor, along with her husband, for Keller Williams Real Estate. A.J. Reed (Secretary) attempted to commit suicide twice due to depression, drug and alcohol abuse. The first time by taking 28 pills of Vicodin and the second by shooting himself in the face with a shotgun. As a result, he is permanently blind and has permanent facial injuries. After undergoing dozens of surgeries, he has now taken his dramatic life story to the world, using it to encourage youth NOT to follow the same path. As a national motivational speaker, he has appeared on numerous television shows including Oprah (October 4, 2006) and TLC (January 5, 2007).
